Single Mom

Being a single mom is really, really hard. It’s way harder than I ever imagined it would be but that’s because when my ex and I had Jayden I don’t think either of us thought we’d ever split up. I love my son more than anything but it’s been a real uphill battle trying to figure out how to make this work without a partner. I’ve had boyfriends and all that since John and I broke up but it’s just not the same since this isn’t their kid and they just don’t feel the responsibility or the seriousness of the whole thing. I love my boy more than life but it’s been tough trying to afford our mortgage payments on my own and keeping the hom security Austin active and going to work and daycare and all that. I hardly feel like there are enough hours in the day to get anything done but at the end of the day I keep on keeping on. That’s all you can do, you know?
